Polish Scouting in BC

The Canadian Polish Congress B.C. is partnering with the Polish Scouting Association in Canada (Związek Harcerstwa Polskiego w Kanadzie – ZHP Kanada) to explore the possibility of launching a Polish scouting troop (drużyna harcerska) in the Lower Mainland.

We are currently assessing community interest to help determine whether this initiative is feasible and where meetings (zbiórki) could potentially be held. Polish scouts (harcerze and zuchy) typically meet once a week and are organized into age and gender-based groups.

Premier David Eby Honors Polish Community During Polish Heritage Month

VICTORIA - Premier David Eby has issued an official message recognizing May as Polish Heritage Month and celebrating the contributions of British Columbia’s Polish community.

In his statement, Premier Eby extended warm greetings to all those marking the occasion and highlighted the importance of this national observance, now in its second year.

“This May marks the second annual Polish Heritage Month in Canada, which provides a wonderful opportunity to recognize the invaluable contributions of Polish people to the social, economic and cultural fabric of our country,” he said.
