After months of growing interest within the Polish community, Polish scouting (harcerstwo) is officially returning to Vancouver. The initiative began in May 2025, when the Canadian Polish Congress BC first launched an expression of interest form to gauge demand for reviving scouting activities. The response from Polonia was strong and encouraging, ultimately leading to the launch of a new program for children and youth.

In response to this interest, organizers are now inviting participants across multiple age groups, including zuchy (ages 6–10), harcerki and harcerze (ages 11–14), and youth aged 15–18 who are interested in joining or helping lead activities.

The first zbiórka (scouting meeting), along with an information session for parents, will take place on March 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Polish Veterans Association, 1134 Kingsway in Vancouver. The event will serve as an introduction to the program, where parents can learn more about scouting and upcoming plans, while children take part in their first activities led by experienced instructors.

The program will begin with a trial period running from March to June, with regular zbiórki held twice per month. All activities will be conducted in Polish, allowing participants to engage with both the language and cultural traditions of Polish scouting.
