CPC BC Marches in Solidarity Parade at 2025 Pinoy Festival

News - Intro image

BURNABY - On June 14, 2025, the Canadian Polish Congress proudly participated in the Solidarity Parade held as part of the annual Pinoy Festival at Swangard Stadium. This year’s parade took on a deeper meaning, as it was dedicated to the memory of the victims of the tragic 2025 Lapu-Lapu Festival incident in Vancouver.

Polish Canadians joined participants from various cultural communities, marching shoulder to shoulder with representatives from other nations, ethnic organizations, and civic leaders including Premier David Eby (pictured). Draped in red and white, we stood in solidarity with the Filipino community, offering support, compassion, and a visible expression of unity during this time of mourning.

The presence of the Canadian Polish Congress in the parade was a symbol of our shared values—respect for human life, the importance of community, and the strength found in standing together across cultures in moments of sorrow.

We thank the organizers of the Pinoy Festival for including us in this moving tribute. It was a privilege to walk together in remembrance and in solidarity.
