A Tradition Continues: 11th Polish Festival Vancouver Brings Community Together

News - Intro image

Polonia and the broader community gathered at the 11th Annual Polish Festival Vancouver held at the Shipyards in North Vancouver on September 6, 2025. This year’s festival was a collaboration between the former organizers, Belweder North Shore Polish Association, and the Canadian Polish Congress BC.

Over the years the festival had grown significantly, and after ten years the original organizers chose to retire. To preserve this valued tradition, the Congress stepped in to lead the effort. Through our "Save Polish Festival Vancouver" online fundraiser, and thanks to community support, we raised $3,895, which went directly toward organizing the festival. We also called for volunteers and formed a new team, now organized under the Polish Festival Vancouver Society, to carry the festival forward into the future. Our event was featured on Global BC, including interviews with CPC BC President Konrad Kobielewski and Vice-President Nikodem Cichecki.

With strong community participation, lively entertainment, and wide exposure, the festival was a resounding success. We thank all donors, sponsors, and volunteers for making this great event possible.
